The people in your life don't stay with you because of the number of zeroes in your salary, or the promise of more zeroes.
They don't stay with you because of the square footage of your home, or how many bedrooms or bathrooms it has.
They don't stay with you because of the watch on your wrist, the shoes on your feet, or the shirt that fits you just right.
They don't stay with you because of the title you have, or the prefix in front of your name, or the number of followers you have on Instagram.
They don't stick around because people know your name or clap for your work.
The people in your life, the ones who matter, the ones you want to keep around, don't stay with you because of things. They stay with you because of love.
So love them, before and more than you do or get or chase things for them.
