Considering my track record as a student, it’s a little weird that I eventually became a teacher.

I chalk it up to a phrase used by one of my favorite people on the planet, author and all-around-good-person Bob Goff:

Immense patience.

I believe that if you consume the news cycle, it will consume you.

It will consume you, and the life you could and should be living.

It often gets worse before it gets better. But getting worse, or meeting resistance, or experiencing setbacks, doesn’t mean that the fight is lost.

The people in your life, the ones who matter, the ones you want to keep around, don't stay with you because of things.
